Our Technology

Information to build on

At First American CoreLogic, information technology provides more choices and control over how you connect to the information your business requires. Our systems are designed to give you quick access to the nation's most comprehensive database through a browser or desktop application or a customized solution. We support your technology strategy and accommodate information needs for your business.

Our mirrored database, double-redundant architecture with automatic fail-over and 24/7/365 technical support team provide the highest levels of protection against service interruptions. We leverage an open architecture utilizing J2EE/Weblogic clustering technology and a Web Services framework infrastructure to provide scalability and reliability for support of high volume transactions.

Our advanced technology provides our customers unparalleled flexibility, but the idea behind it all is quite simple: to get the most accurate, up-to-date information you need for your business in the most timely and efficient manner.

Whether it's browser, XML, bulk licensing or desktop access, we have the solution you're looking for, or the means to develop one. We can provide you licensed databases, customized programs and research.

Enterprise Architecture

Our enterprise architecture is designed to support large-scale e-commerce transaction processing in a secure environment, with high availability.  It provides load balancing, location transparency and fail-over management. The systems are integrated into a seamless environment that provides high availability, scalability, security, and robust version control and change management.

We have developed a technology environment that utilizes application components and industry accepted practices, optimized to meet our customers' requirements for data integration and delivery flexibility.

  • Project Charter - defining of the scope, ROI, idea, and participant responsibilities
  • Responsibility Matrix designating accountability for project implementation
  • Preliminary Requirements Document outlining product performance and functionality requirements
  • Preliminary Systems Solution and Sizing, giving an estimate of the time and effort required for completing the project
  • Project Plan, which is the actual implementation plan
  • Detailed/Technical Requirements, which is created by the project management group with technical specifications by application development group
  • Requirements Signoff for approval of the development deliverables by the requesting parties
  • Production Site Requirements Specifications, which defines the production environment
  • Test Plan for describing the testing needed to meet user acceptance
  • Final Sizing/Schedule, which contains final project scope and the creation of a delivery schedule
  • Development Plan for actual engineering development
  • Quality Assurance Plan for testing and function validation of the code for quality purposes and for load performance testing
  • Staging Review, for determining the availability of the completed project for final approval by customer
